English activities 3rd grade March 30th to April 3rd

Monday, March 30th


Objective: To listen to and follow a story; to answer questions about a story.

Activity: Play track 120. "Pollution in the deep blue sea" Help students follow along in their reader. In the end ask and answer questions.

P1    What are the children doing ?.   They are having a picnic.
         What´s happening to the yellow plastic bag ?      It´s floating away.
         Are the dolphins swimming next to the yellow plastic bag ?      Yes, they are.

P2    Do you think the whales can eat the trash ?

P3    Who found the plastic rings ?

P4   What are the students learning ?       They are learning about pollution.

P5  What are they doing  ?       They are picking up all the trash.

P6  How is the beach  ?   How are the children  ?

Transfering Knowledge:   SB 108  Ask these questions.

What trash did the dolphins find ?
What trash did the whales find ?
Which animals found the plastic rings ?

When they finish make AB  87 paste them in your bedroom.

Tuesday, March 31st


Objective: To identify sea animals; to review numbers multiples of 10.

Vocabulary: Dolphin, whale, shark, fish, jellufish, coral, starfish, octopus, seaturtle.

Activity: Take the clock and make a dictation like this ( 10 minutes )
               what time is it ?    It´s   7:00 o'clock.

Use the same pieces of paper  to count 10 by 10, Make groups of 10 write the number next to each group.

Transfering knowledge: Color according to the number.  SB109 mention name of the animals and numbers.

Wednesday, April 1st.


Objective:  To talk about the importance of taking care of the earth,

Vocabulary :  recycle, sort, trash tetal, light, brush your teeth, turn off the water, plastic bottle, litter, plant a tree.

Activity: Play this video.

After that place the mini-flashcards on the table, classify them in two parts.
Practice these two sentences,


  • Dino is taking care of the earth.
  • Dino is not taking care of the earth.

2  Dino is leaving and he didn´t turn off the TV
3  Dino is saving water
4  She is throwing a plastic bottle outside of the car.
5  Dino is planting a tree.
6  They are wasting water,

Objective: To review land and sea animals; To categorize animals based on where they live,

Vocabulary: Sea animals and numbers

Activity:  Practice the numbers with the clocks.    What time is it  ?     It´s 11.40 practice different times for 10 minutes,

Transfering knowledge: Open the book SB 111. Practice  song track 109 pointing to the pictures. Choose the correct color, Parents say this;

Trace shark write # 10                      Students answer:   This is a sea animal or This is a land animal
Trace zebre write # 20
Trace fox write # 30
Trace deer write # 40
Trace octopus write # 50
Trace dolphin write # 60
Trace whale write # 70
Trace squirrel write # 80

Friday. April 3rd


Objective; To consider positive and negative ways of impacting the environment.

Vocabulary: save, waste, water pollition, air pollution, land pollution, good, bad, the Earth, plant a tree, recycle.

Activity: Play track 117.   song "Don´t use to much".   Then play track   107   Let´s take care of our planet, (   read or play 2 times  )

Transfering knowledge;   SB112  Play with 1 die, in the picture you land color and say:

This is good for the Earth.
This is bad for the Earth.

Color one dot from the die under the world every time you land, depending if it is good of bag,

PRACTICE THE ALPHABET, ( READ AND POINT )
